Quick Tip: Erector Muscle Release

Posted by on Sep 24, 2014 in Exercises

Scott Schwartz is back in the training room for this week’s Quick Tip. Join him and Penina, as they show you some techniques that you can add to your list of effective multitasking. As much as we try to avoid it, most of us are bound to our computers these days. Don’t become a victim of Desk Worker Syndrome: tight neck, tight shoulders, lower back pain…yuck! By implementing some simple exercises with lacrosse or tennis balls, you can help avoid these nasty symptoms. So while you’re working on your next email, bust out the lacrosse balls and give your Erector Muscles some much needed release.

This exercise is great for people who sit at a desk all day. It can provide release to those muscles in the back that are sore and stressed and won’t take you away from your work.

Use a sock and tennis balls or lacrosse balls, depending on the depth you prefer.

Note: If you feel excess pain during the exercise, discontinue until checking with a professional.
