Quick Tip: How to Stand from Sitting

Co-owner, Jenny Lightstone, is in the training room for this week’s Quick Tip. Watch as she guides you through the proper way to stand-up from a seated position. While this isn’t tricky, its significance for your lower back health is vital. So, get off the couch and join us…literally!

This tip is good for everyone, especially people that experience frequent lower back pain.

Although the way you get up from a seated position seems insignificant, making this small change can really reduce the strain on your lower back muscles that are used when standing up. This exercise will transfer the effort to other muscles and give your back a break!
