Do you have pain, numbness, and tingling that runs from the base of your spine down your leg? If so, it’s possible that you have sciatica or piriformis syndrome. If you experience intense pain, you should definitely visit a doctor. Otherwise, a great place to start is here at Psoas. In this Quick Tip, Scott Schwartz shows you a way to maintain the health and functionality of the sciatic nerve that runs from the low back to the bottom of the feet by “flossing” it.” If you experience a high level of pain while trying this out, please pause and call your doctor to check in on your treatment plan. If you do experience some mild sensations down the leg, though, don’t worry about it. That just means the exercise is working!

You probably don’t need to floss your nerves as often as your teeth, but we highly recommend this excersise for those of you with diagnosed sciatica or just sciatic pain. Let us know how it goes!
