Strengthening the Rhomboids

Posted by on Mar 10, 2021 in Exercises

Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour on Sunday, March 14th. One step closer to Spring! But while we’re in the last stretch of winter, you might be planning one of your last ski trips of the season, a refreshing outdoor activity that allows for lots of physical distancing.

Time away from the home office is the perfect opportunity to work on your posture. So many of you have shared with your therapist the impact working from home has had on your alignment. So, check out this week’s Quick Tip we’re returning to Dr. Katherine McCarty’s 7-Point Posture Program with Exercise 4 and 5, focused on strengthening the rhomboids. These exercises help combat the rolling forward of the shoulders that develops from time working at a computer, or driving, or giving massages. Yep, even massage therapists need to work on their posture!

We’re committed to helping you do the activities you love as long as possible with as much ease as possible. So whether you’ve been skiing or not this winter, if you feel like your posture is slipping away from you we’re here to help you get back on track.
