Quick Tip: AIS Tricep Stretch

Posted by on Dec 5, 2013 in Stretches

The poor triceps. Under-treated. Under-appreciated. Under-loved. Most often noticed when someone is sporting “gramma arms.”

Stop the madness. Let’s give these muscles some love.

Who needs this exercise?

Everyone. Really, I’m talking to you. Few people come in saying, “my triceps are killing me,” but we often find that the lack of range of motion effects the integrity of the shoulder. Tight triceps cause other muscles in your shoulder, like the biceps, to overwork. So give this stretch a try and please let us know how it works for you.

Please refer to our Active Isolated Stretch video before trying this stretch.

Note: If you are experiencing severe pain or numbness and tingling in your arms and hands, see a professional before attempting this or other stretches. If you feel excess pain during the stretch, discontinue until checking with a professional.
