Quick Tip: Do you know your I’s, Y’s, and T’s can improve your posture?

For most of us, our posture is something we unconsciously tend to compromise as a result of our daily habits, and our home and workplace ergonomics. Whether we are driving, working on a computer, playing with children, or just sitting and relaxing, we tend to drop our shoulders forward into a more relaxed position. This week’s quick tip shows you a quick and effective way to activate and develop your back muscles to help you regain your posture and counterattack the effects of our unconscious daily slouching.

This exercise also stretches your chest muscles, which will allow you to breathe deeper and feel less constricted, as well as develop shoulder stability, and assist with neck tension. Grab a pair of light weights between 1 and 3 pounds to really increase the intensity of this exercise. Let us know how it goes and what improvements you see with your posture!
