Everyone has a different goal in massage. At Psoas, we work directly with you to determine the appropriate methods to reach that goal.

We help clients needing immediate relief from painful conditions and muscle tension, people working to get rid of chronic pain that has been ailing them for months or years, those who have clinical conditions and need help with injury rehabilitation, as well as with clients who do not have specific issues. Every treatment is unique:

We see many clients each week and realize that not only is everyone different, but every session is different. With that in mind, we distill client needs before each session. Some clients enjoy slow gliding strokes to help them relax, and others prefer deep sustained pressure.

Sports massage is designed for a specific client, doing specific sports, at specific levels, during specific times of their training season. Whether maintenance or injury-related work, we attempt to hone in on our athlete's goals and needs.

Likewise, clinical issues can be addressed through various modalities, and the best results are often achieved by employing a combination of techniques. We also discuss posture and other perpetuating factors with our clients. As confident as we are about our work, we know that some clients will never attain their goals if they do not address the issues of posture and mechanical behaviors that contributed to their conditions.
