Acerca de

Dynamic Assisted Stretching (DAS) sessions are customized one-on-one stretching sessions, based on the clients' needs, aimed at improving range of motion and quality of movement while assessing clients current patterns of tension. These sessions are clothed and combine Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facillitation (PNF), static stretches, Myofascial release, compression and pin and stretch massage techniques and can be combined with Taping to increase impact and longevity of benefits. Clients will likely be given homework to continue developing healthy movement patterns between sessions. DAS sessions can fit anywhere in a wellness treatment program, but can be especially helpful pre and post athletic events.

Propriceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), is a method of stretching that increases the length of muscle tissue as well as neuromuscular efficiency. Regular PNF stretching is effective in improving and maintaining ROM, increasing muscular strength and power, and increasing athletic performance, especially after exercise.

Including Kinesio Taping can help extend the benefits of a DAS session. Taping can provide functional support in maintaining the new range of motion achieved during the session, help activate certain muscle groups to help correct dysfunctional movement patterns, and help prevent muscle fatigue and overuse.
