FEARGAL MACKAY (He/Him)
Feargal is an Apprentice at Psoas. His work is shaped by the calm, caring nature of massage and a desire to support others. Sessions are customized to each client and may be clinical, relaxing, or a blend of both.
Feargal works with a variety of clients, offering both full-body and focused sessions. He commonly supports desk workers and labor workers experiencing general back, shoulder, and neck discomfort, while also providing sessions focused entirely on relaxation.
His bodywork continues to be refined through weekly training with Clinical Supervisor Jason Garcia, which began in 2024.
MORE ABOUT FEARGAL...
Feargal was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and moved to Alameda when he was just a year old and he has called the Bay Area home ever since.
Outside the treatment room, Feargal enjoys both playing and watching sports. Soccer has always been a big part of his life. When he’s not on the field, he enjoys exploring San Francisco with friends, checking out new restaurants, grabbing drinks, or going to concerts.
Feargal’s path into massage therapy was inspired by his mom, who is a massage therapist. After graduating from college, where he earned a degree in psychology he realized he wanted a more hands-on career that allowed him to help people in a direct and meaningful way. He went on to study massage at McKinnon, where he developed a strong appreciation for the power of bodywork and the difference it can make in people’s lives. He continues to perfect his craft through Psoas Massage + Bodywork's Apprentice Program, where he is trained by Jason Garcia.
Today, Feargal brings a thoughtful and supportive approach to his sessions, drawing on his background in psychology and his passion for helping others feel better in their bodies.
