KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY HEALTHY
In order to protect our Psoas community against viral infections we’ve changed the way we do things around here. Before your next visit, please take a few minutes to review our updated Health + Safety Guidelines. If you have any questions, reach out to us at info@psoasbodywork.com or call our front desk. We ask that our clients comply with all local and state regulations pertaining to public health emergencies.
Monitoring yourself for symptoms:
In order to protect the health + safety of our community, even if you are vaccinated for COVID 19, we ask that you do not come to the clinic if you are experiencing symptoms related to viral infections including COVID 19 and Monkey Pox. Please let us know as soon as you become symptomatic, and remember to provide at least 24-hours notice when making changes and cancelations to appointments to avoid the late cancelation fee.
Before and after your visit, monitor yourself and your household members for COVID-19 and Monkey Pox symptoms. If you or someone you live with presents any flu like symptoms or may be at risk for having contracted COVID-19 or Monkey Pox, we ask that you promptly reschedule your appointment.
If you begin to experience symptoms within 10 days of your visit, please let us know. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to a virus. If you have been confirmed or suspected to have COVID-19 or Monkey Pox we ask that you are symptom free for at least 10 days before returning to the clinic. Clients with these symptoms must forego their appointment until they’re feeling better:
-
Fever or chills
-
Cough
-
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
-
Fatigue
-
Muscle or body aches, Malaise
-
Headache
-
New loss of taste or smell
-
Sore throat
-
Congestion or runny nose
-
Nausea or vomiting
-
Diarrhea
-
Skin lesions, blisters, or hives not diagnosed by a doctor
Preparing for your first visit back with us:
-
Our client files are now digital.
-
Once your appointment has been scheduled you will receive two separate but identical emails with forms to fill out: 1) Intake Form 2) Psoas’ Health + Safety Agreement. Please complete both forms and submit them electronically before arriving for your session.
-
If you forget to submit your intake form and agreement, you may be asked to sign and date the form electronically before the start of your session.
-
Returning clients must also sign the intake form. You will continue to receive the forms via email until they have been completed, but you only need to fill them out once. We recommend using Google Chrome to fill out your forms, since the browser is most compatible with the form editor and we’ve had reports of other browsers crashing the document.
While at the clinic and during massage:
-
Masks are optional for clients at the clinic, however, your therapist may ask you to wear a mask for part or all of your session. Paper masks are available at the front desk if needed.
-
Except while you’re in session with your therapist, we ask you to maintain at least 6 feet between yourself and others.
-
When you arrive at the clinic, please sanitize your hands immediately, as well as before entering and after exiting the treatment room. We ask you get dressed quickly and leave the room once the session is through so that therapists can properly change sheets and sanitize the room.
-
We’ll be verbally greeting you from now on, please limit handshaking, fist bumping, or other non-essential contact with your therapist or others.
Closing out your appointment and scheduling your next session:
-
Sessions will be closed out using your card on file, or another preferred payment method, at the end of your session. Optional tips or cash gratuity can be added at this time.
-
Prepaid packages streamline the check-out process and save you 10% on each session. Ask a Front Desk Specialist for more information.
-
Appointments are even more limited than before and practitioners’ schedules fill up quickly in advance. We recommend scheduling out a series of appointments to ensure treatment. Appointments may be made at the front desk, but due to physical distancing recommendations, scheduling by phone or email is preferred. Monitor symptoms and cancel prior to the 24 hour window, to not be responsible for the session fee.
-
Ask a Front Desk Specialist to join your therapist’s waitlist if you are unable to schedule your preferred date and time for a session.
Updates to Psoas Health and Safety Guidelines:
-
Our HVAC system has ionizers that kill viruses and use special fans installed in the central AC unit to increase outside airflow, and we're using the finest filter possible on the system.
-
Each room has its own air purifier with HEPA filter.
-
We clean and sanitize all surfaces in treatment rooms between clients using environmentally friendly and EPA approved disinfectants.
-
Massage tables and headrests have a plastic barrier that is sanitized between each client.
-
Our linens are laundered by professionals with upgraded protocols.
-
We use “All Good” hand sanitizer at the clinic, which contains over 60% alcohol. It may feel a bit slimy at first but dries smooth and soft. Touchless hand sanitizer stations are available in every treatment room and at the entrance to the clinic. These lovely folks are the primary point of contact for all our Psoas Clients’ needs. We act as administrative support for our clients and therapists, assisting with appointment management, superbills, and act as liaisons between the two when you’re away from the clinic.
We’re here to make sure you have the best experience possible with us while reminding you who we are and what we’re all about – deep human care, approachable expertise, and seriously good vibes, just to name a few. From scheduling your first appointment to relaying important treatment information to your Massage Therapist, we’re here to partner with you and your therapist to make sure you’re making the most out of your time with us.
No question is too big (or silly) for us to try to find an answer to, so don’t be shy, feel free to reach out and get a conversation going!
