STELLA EVANS (SHE/HER)
Stella specializes in injury rehabilitation, chronic pain relief, and athletic support. She has years of experience working with injuries and how trauma affects the body. She pays close attention to how the client's muscles feel to assess how deeply to work, and her style informed from her somatic studies is slow and deep. Her slow approach allows the client's nervous system to acclimate to her touch and builds trust. Stella often coaches clients during sessions to use their breath and body awareness to facilitate a more effective session. Her pressure is med - deep.
MORE ABOUT STELLA...
A Bay Area native, Stella adores San Francisco and has made it her home for more than half her life. As a life long creative, Stella has been a professional artist of various mediums since middle school: from clothing and jewelry design, to painting, sculpture and digital art, and even poetry, modern dance and choreography.
It was in 2008, while working as a preschool teacher and studying fine art, that Stella decided to pursue an education in massage therapy at the SF School of Massage. Originally intended as a side gig while in art school, Stella quickly developed a passion for bodywork, and massage therapy has been her primary focus ever since.

Stella is very interested in learning more about healing and recovery from trauma. She is currently pursuing a certification in somatic therapy and studying various ways to become more trauma-informed. With her years of experience helping clients work through chronic pain and injury rehabilitation, Stella strongly believe that bodywork is the future of trauma recovery and is dedicated to advancing her knowledge and expertise in this field.

Outside her passion for bodywork, Stella maintains her life as an artist, always working on one project or another (currently exploring fabric dye techniques and silk painting), and still loves dancing, music, singing, hiking, swimming and being in nature. She loves to travel, and is fascinated by different cultures, having studied four different languages and continuing to learn as much as she can.
